A 10-month internship for the Frye Art Museum assisting the Communications department with internal and external-facing design assets including signage and posters, web and print ads, brochures and merchandise.
I created cohesive design assets that fit within the Museum’s branding while still being distinct to the individual shows. I adhered to Museum-wide file management and naming conventions, used guidelines for working with photographs of artwork, handled in-house production, and worked with different production vendor’s specifications.
The communications department receives design briefs from all other departments in the Museum. For each assignment, I consulted with the senior designer, created several options of layouts, reviewed with the communications director and designer, got approval from the corresponding department, and made any necessary changes before preparing files for production.
